David Lafferty is a Senior Associate at Enable Advisory with over 16 years’ experience in the mining sector. He has specialised in underground hard-rock mining across a number of operations in Australia, and internationally, through operational, technical, and consulting roles.
Dave is an experienced Mining Engineer with a skill set spanning mine design, strategic mine planning, and technical consulting. He has a proven track record of developing cost-effective mining solutions and successfully completing projects for a variety of mining companies globally. He is skilled in optimising resource utilisation, improving operational efficiency, and delivering results in complex mining environments. Dave is adept at fostering innovation and enhancing mine design strategies through analysis and problem-solving.

- Concept SLC design for Black Rock Cave, leading to preferred LOM case.
- 6-year LOM extension for MICO through COG revaluation and remnant opportunities.
- Created a tool for analysing multiple mining assessment criteria for RRA targets.
David holds a BEng (Hons) Mining Engineering, holds membership with the AusIMM as a Chartered Professional (MAusIMM-CP) and is also recognised as a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
