Senior Associate
Daniel is a Senior Associate at Enable Advisory with over 8 years’ experience in the civil and mining sectors. Before joining Enable, Daniel has specialised in open cut coal across a number of operations in QLD through his role with a major mining contractor. Daniel has a commitment to delivering work aligned to the highest standards in environment, and safety and health.
Daniel is an open cut mining engineer with deep technical knowledge in open cut coal. His experience includes extensive on-site work as a short term truck/shovel design and scheduling engineer, and mine planning engineer. His early experience as a city council works engineer provided diverse exposure to planning, procuring, and delivering support services including leading practical delivery teams.
Throughout his career, Daniel has developed expertise in a variety of mining software packages including Deswik CAD, Vulcan, Maptek, Spry, Gantt Scheduler and Alastri Haul Infinity.
His experience includes:
- Truck and Shovel and Dozer Push. Experience in detailed dig and dump designs and planning for truck and shovel operations aligning with geotechnical and environmental standard requirements.
- Operational improvement and optimisation including cost benefit and trade off analysis and studies.
- Safety, Health, and Environment. Ensuring designs and plans integrate SHE requirements through a thorough understanding of site environmental requirements, compliance requirements including PRCP and EA conditions including noise and vibration, water management, bulk material disposal and acid mine drainage.
- Management of subcontractors and delivery of support services, both as the asset owner and as primary contractor.
- Operational coal quality management to ensure specifications are met.
