Guilherme is a chartered mining engineer with deep technical experience from his 16 years’ experience across a range of mining methods (metalliferous and coal) and locations (Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, North and South America). His experience includes operational, technical, corporate, and consulting roles at Superintendent, Manager and Principal levels.
Guil has contributed to numerous complex operations, projects, studies, due diligences, and Ore Reserves estimations. Guil’s experience across all planning horizons within a number or operations and projects resulted in a deep understanding of value levers. Guil is a Competent Person as defined by the JORC Code for base metals with the use of sublevel-stoping mining method.
Guil’s experience includes:
- Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility studies for a major Sublevel Caving brownfield expansion (Copper / Gold);
- Pre-Feasibility study and support to the FS for a major deep undeveloped Copper deposit in North America (underground hard rock);
- Concept study for a major Australian greenfield project (Copper/Gold), trading-off multiple underground mining methods;
- Technical leadership for a mining study (long hole open stoping with wastefill) on a narrow vein gold deposit in Indonesia;
- Competent Person for George Fisher Mine’s and Cannington’s sublevel stoping operations.
